Welcome to Foxrock

Over 130 years of golf and friendship.

Foxrock Golf Club is one of the longest-established golf clubs in Ireland, set in the quiet suburb of Foxrock village. The course opened for play in February 1893, laid out by the golf professional Mr Brown, and was redesigned in 1914 by Harry Shapland Colt.

Colt led the move away from links golf towards heathland and parkland courses. His firm is behind Pine Valley, Royal County Down and Royal Portrush, and Foxrock is proud to be one of his published designs, with the elevated greens he was known for.

After your round, the clubhouse, set in tranquil grounds, is the perfect place to relax.

"Innovation and progression are important to us – we want to provide a top-class facility for both our current and future members."

The bronze fox statue resting on a granite rock at Foxrock Golf Club
The Foxrock fox

A thank-you, cast in bronze.

A bronze fox stretches out on a granite rock at the club, every bit as at home here as the red fox at the top of the Foxrock crest. The plaque beneath it tells a story of friendship:

In everlasting gratitude to Paddy Carroll for initiating us to the joys and camaraderie of golf in Ireland with the Irish.

His American friends

The fox has pride of place on the club crest, above the crossed clubs and the year the club began, 1893.
